With CSA's New PC monitoring and diagnostic kit you can really SEE what's going on inside your PC. This is the device the PC technicians don't want you to HAVE! Now, vital system information that has generally been denied to PC users is available in an easy to build, fun to use kit. (Build your own and save $100.00 off the retail price). The SnoopEZ retail price is $169.00 assembled and ONLY $69.00 in kit form: Approximate assembly time is 3 hours. Now you can afford to have the latest Digital Technology for your PC.
Is the application dead? Is it busy thinking? Do I need to restart? Is there processing going on? Is there something happening inside the computer? Now you can see activity going on inside your PC. Now you can SEE your I/O and memory in action. Now you can SEE motherboard operation. Now you can tell if your application is still alive and processing data. The I/O read and write LED's display bus activity and alert you that processing is still going on. Without these indicators on your PC, you never really know if an application is still processing data, busy thinking, or stalled.
The most important information concerns your power supply. Your power supply provides the current that operates every piece of hardware in your system. Low voltage can effect the proper operation of your PC and cause loss of data, crashes and unreliable operation. Does your PC have a way to monitor voltage? Now you can monitor your PC's voltage and ensure that the last peripheral you added didn't overload your power supply. Now you can monitor the +5, -5, +12 and -12 volts on your PC and avoid costly repairs, data loss and system failures. Proper voltage levels must be maintained for your PC to function properly.
It's never been easy to trouble-shoot computer software and hardware problems. Today, operating systems and programs are becoming more complex and trouble-shooting has not become any easier. ANY DEVICE THAT CAN SUPPLY ADDITIONAL SYSTEM INFORMATION AND ASSIST YOU IN DETERMINING HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PROBLEMS IS WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD. Have you ever spent hours reloading and reconfiguring software and after an expensive visit to your local computer technician, you find that the hardware was really at fault? How much would you pay for a device that displays proper hardware operation? How much time and money could you save? Now you can have an additional resource for identifying hardware failures and avoiding many hours of frustration and expensive repairs.
This device was designed to be EASY to use. Monitoring Voltages, I/O ports and memory is easy. You can actually SEE the reads and writes of data to and from I/O and memory, monitor Voltages and even the motherboard clock. Armed with this information, you will be able to identify when a voltage line goes bad, an I/O port is not responding, (like a modem or printer port) and identify a bad mouse or keyboard. In addition, area's of memory, like the system ROM, your lower conventional 640K memory and video memory are all checked upon boot-up. This device "LATCHES" the last piece of data that was monitored..this means that the last I/O or Memory LED will stay "on" until another is accessed. For example, if your system stops upon boot-up and your video memory LED is "on", than there is a good possibility that you have a problem with your video adapter. The device operates the same way for I/O devices like your COM ports, printer (LPT) port and mouse/game controller port. One of CSA's customers called us with a real world trouble-shooting success story using this device. The problem was that the computer would not boot-up into windows 95. After hours of trying software solutions, he watched his is LED's and noticed that the COM2 LED stayed "on". This was his modem adapter card. He reseated the modem adapter and bingo! his system functioned properly again avoiding expensive repairs and hours of frustration. Without the device he would have spent hours more, trying to determine the "software" problem. This is just one of many examples of how this device can be used to trouble-shoot hardware, software and system problems. Saving time and money!
The following operating systems are supported: DOS..Windows 3.X...Windows 95....Windows NT
Even if you never have a problem with your computer, this device is "FUN TO USE"! The custom faceplate is an attractive addition to any PC computer and is educational. You will learn how your computer operates as you watch the LED's light-up in sequence on boot-up. In addition, this device will give your PC a power house look of a real workstation and will be positively noticed by anyone who views your PC. It will also become your companion, displaying system information in (real-time) while you operate your computer.
